Twas the night before Saint Patrick's day and all through the Lynch house -- our painter is still busy making it nice. It's 10:19, he's still here. He's painted two rooms today, we can hardly believe it. We had our own foray into painting with the bedrooms, I'm really non-commital regarding the results of our handiwork. To say we did well is a major overstatement, but it's not a mess either. It just is, could be better, could be worse. Here's a rundown of our palette so far:
Master Bedroom: Lemon Drop (yellow)
Guest Bedroom: Icelandic (light light lilac) ok it's not really icelandic yet because I decided I like the color of the half tint primer better and it's going to be a test of wills to determine if the room ends up fully painted.
Office:
Dining Room: Botticelli Red
Kitchen: Celestial (it's a blue, light blue)
We're not going to painting any other rooms- to avoid the romper room feel.
MAJOR DRAMA earlier today. So Sherwin Williams suggested tinting the primer gray so the red would show more clearly. Well about four hours ago I looked up from the laptop and the tv, where I was busily monitoring the March Madness for Kris' brackets, to discover the walls of my dining room were gray and scarlet. I was overcome with nausea, I started hearing Hang On Sloopy, I felt powerless against biased referees and had the overwhelming urge to kill bucks.
Luckily Eric, our painter and neighbor, quickly remedied this situation, but I may never recover knowing the ugly that leers at me beneath the surface of my dining room walls.
Well dinner has arrived, pizza it is. There will be more posting tomorrow after we discover what Saint Patricks Day in Savannah is like.
