If a problem comes along...

You must whip it! Here's baby Devo in action. He does this by himself, I swear. It had not occured to me how similar the red bucket is to a Devo hat, that's how much cooler he is than me.

Obviously our spoon skills need work...

No that's nto really true at all. This was the day Ben realized he could spit his food back into his hand and smear it all over everything. I swear he wasn't that upset for that long, I'm not a suburban Jill Greenberg or anything. We were just finishing up and he turned into a grump nearly the moment I got the camera out- I love how expressive he is, he's a lot of fun to photograph, my little squash coated Adonis.

The cleanup crew arrives...

And we're done.

Cousins!

Kris' cousin Christina and Ben's second cousins Lauren and Kyle were in Hilton Head a few weeks ago so we took a ride up there for dinner!

Raised by wolves.

Umm I think we've messed up pretty badly. I didn't mean to abdicate my parental responsibility but it seems our dogs are the ones raising the baby. He has yet to speak but he can growl and bark and is now focusing on mastering other canine feats.

Trying to drink out of a bowl

Trying to eat out of a bowl

He's growling at me

Yes Ben, sometimes dogs do try to eat out of the garbage- but they get yelled at. Quit it.

Hello, my brother.

Let my people IN!

And some ducks for good measure.

Ben's Birthday Part 3, Cake Monster

The finale. The cake. My son. Bad bad things happened. Well basically it could be considered a normal Falcone family gathering, there was food, laughing, screaming, crying, food throwing, decorations were ripped down and eventually foot stomping.
It got pretty Jersey.
But it really wasn't Ben's fault or his heritage. Up until 3 weeks ago he was (inadvertently) on the Atkins diet. His experience with carbs is minimal, he's a lightweight. So when this roaring river of refined sugar madness hit his bloodstream it was like Hurricane Katrina the glucose version, overtopping his levies unleashing a perfect storm. Enjoy. He did. I think. We hope.
