A tree- finally!

By now you should be well aware of my high standards for Christmas trees- Scotch pine or nothing. Alas, they will not grow their luscious lovely selves in the southeast. So I really let go this year and allowed us to get a Virginia pine, as you can see she's just ok. But we liked this one best.

Before we could even tag it Brody backed up into the tree and demonstrated his preference in the most primal of ways.
You should know that there was a long and heated debate over the posting of the above picture. It was finally agreed that in the interest of photoblogging and family journalism ethics it had to be included to accurately portray the context of the day.

"Umm could you hold the tree while I cut it? Please?"
I was promptly bitten by fire ants while holding the trunk of the tree.
Do not be fooled by our attire, it turned out to be 76 degrees- the day after Thanksgiving. It was a little hard to get into the spirit.

Let the photo shoot begin!

Telltale sign that the photo shoot is over? The tongue comes out and won't go back in. He has found this method most effective.
